Safety

Providing a safe place for our employees to work is our moral duty as an employer. The fact is we work in an industrial environment where certain risks are inherent and conditions and actions must be constantly monitored to insure that accidents are prevented and workers are protected. Because of that, we provide safety training, and fit-for-duty programs that exceed construction industry standards. We employ safety professionals whose only job is to insure that our standards and those of clients’ are met, all the time, with no exceptions. At EXCEL we believe that safety is more than just a risk management issue. Under no circumstance will we compromise our safety values.


Quality

Without high quality our competitiveness would be compromised. In order to insure that our quality objectives are consistently met, we measure our job performance against our own performance metrics and industrial contracting standards.  We only claim success when the client is satisfied. Our quality process is designed to proactively indicate performance gaps or inadequacies and quickly resolve them. To help insure our quality efforts, we only hire employees that are screened and tested to insure that their skills are verifiable. We employ skills training programs to enhance our workforce development and we maintain a database of each employee’s work history. Our full time Quality Assurance personnel are assigned to all projects, large and small, to maintain the high standards we set.

Economics

When we work for a client, we consider ourselves an integral part of their capital investment programs.  We are in effect partners and as such it is our responsibility to help them manage risk and accelerate return. We take the client’s perspective in all aspects of our project planning and approach. EXCEL managers are selected in part by their ability to understand the business issues of our clients and to execute projects with an awareness of the time-sensitive nature of capital investment, the costs of facility downtime and the importance of safe, reliable operation.


Ethics

Simply put, EXCEL will not participate in activities that undermine the values we have adopted. We believe in fair competition and are determined to maintain our leadership position by participating in the competitive process with legitimate intent. Our professional reputation depends on it and we will not subject ourselves to unethical behavior regardless of circumstance or the actions of others. We treat our employees and their families fairly and we extend this equality to our client relationships.
