EXCEL is pleased to announce the promotion of Cody St. Pierre to Vice President of Electrical & Instrumentation, recognizing leadership, technical expertise, and dedication that have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and success.
St. Pierre's career reflects the opportunities that come from dedication, hard work, and a passion for the construction industry. After beginning his career as an electrician in 1993, he joined EXCEL in 1997 when the company was staffing a project in Geismar, LA. What started as a single job application has grown into a career spanning nearly 30 years with the company.
"I've been fortunate to grow my entire career with EXCEL," St. Pierre said. "I've had the opportunity to move from electrician to foreman, general foreman, superintendent, site manager, project manager, and now Vice President. It's been an incredible journey."
Throughout his career, St. Pierre has led electrical and instrumentation work on some of EXCEL's most significant industrial projects across the Gulf Coast and the U.S. Virgin Islands. From serving as Site Manager in St. Croix to leading large-scale projects throughout Texas, he has built a reputation for strong field leadership and delivering results.
One of the most significant milestones in his career was leading the Chlorine 7 Project in Freeport, Texas, working alongside Samsung Engineering America during their first U.S. project. "That project challenged me in ways I hadn't experienced before," St. Pierre said. "Working with an international client taught me how to build trust, understand different perspectives, and focus on doing what's best for the project."
When discussing the future of the industry and the direction of EXCEL's E&I division, St. Pierre emphasized the opportunities that lie ahead. "Construction is booming, and there are tremendous opportunities ahead," he said. "I want to reconnect with clients we've worked with over the years, build new relationships, and continue demonstrating what EXCEL can deliver."
St. Pierre also reflected on the team's strengths and the foundation already in place for continued growth and success. "We have a talented group of people who take pride in what they do," St. Pierre shares. "I'm excited to continue building on that foundation and help position our team for even greater success."
Outside of work, family is at the center of St. Pierre's life. He and his wife are raising two sons, ages 14 and 12, who share his curiosity in different ways. His oldest enjoys academics and engineering, while his youngest loves building and woodworking with his grandfather to create handmade gifts.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead this division," he said. "After nearly 30 years with EXCEL, I'm excited about what's ahead. My goal is to continue growing our business, developing our people, and helping take this division to the next level."
St. Pierre's promotion reflects not only his dedication to the craft but also EXCEL's commitment to developing leaders from within. As he steps into this new role, he brings decades of field experience, proven leadership, and a clear vision for the future of the Electrical & Instrumentation division.
Please join us in congratulating Cody St. Pierre on his well-deserved promotion to Vice President of Electrical & Instrumentation and wishing him continued success in this new chapter of his EXCEL career.
